2-Day Short Travel Plan Ideas from Hyderabad to Rajahmundry
It is a 2 day travel trip, so most of the people start from Hyderabad on Fridays as they will get weekend holidays. Here, many temples are built on the edge of the Godavari River. Rajahmundry is famously known as ‘cultural capital’ of the state of Andhra Pradesh. It has several ghats, 3 long bridges, and many parks. You can visit the temples that are posited in the Godavari River during your day trip.
To enjoy the beauty of the nature, I suggest you to travel by boat. It will provide great memorable experience for you. Boat will be available from Rajahmundry to Bhadrachalam route (through and fro) only.
1. Hyderabad to Rajahmundry:
Train: Start at Friday Evening (Night) at Hyderabad, book at least 15 days prior, or lese go for tatkal booking. More than 10+ trains are available from Hyderabad to Rajahmundry. (Sleeper Class Rs. 350, 3A – Rs. 850, 2A – Rs. 1200 and 1A – Rs. 2000 including service charges)
Book Launch tickets at Rajahmundry river bank. As many offices are there to book your ticket.
Bus: Start at night from Hyderabad, as many buses are available from Hyderabad to Rajahmundry. (If it is AC Sleeper – Rs. 900+, Volvo AC 2+2 – Rs. 700+, and Non AC – Rs. 400+)
Flight: It is bit expensive but will reach to destination within an hour. (Price – Rs. 3500+).
2. Rajahmundry to Bhadrachalam:
Many travel agencies are offering these services, once have booked online then they pick you from the railway station/ bus stand and drop you at your opted location once finished your trip.

1st Day Tour Schedule:
If you are with some tourism agency they may pick-up you at Railway station or bus stand etc. If you are travelling without any agency help then you need to purchase the boat tickets near to the river bank of Godavari.
Once you check into the boat at 9 a.m. then you reach to Papikondalu and it gives a memorable experience through this boat journey.
At 3 p.m. reach to tribal village called Perantapalli and sightseeing over there for 30 minutes and reach to Pochavaram village at 5 p.m.
At 5.30 p.m. a vehicle is arranged/ need to catch by you from Pochavaram to Bhadrachalam and stay night there.
2nd Day Tour Schedule:
Visit Bhadrachalam temple at 5.30 a.m. and reach to Parnasala at 6.30 a.m. which is 35 KM away from temple via road.
At 7.30 a.m. local sightseeing, that includes Srirama Simhasanam, and Sitammavari naracherralu etc.
At 8.30 a.m. return to Bhadrachalam and have breakfast and checkout the room.
Travel from Jangareddigudem and have lunch at 1 p.m. and reach to Maddi village at 2:30 p.m. to see Swayambu Sri Anjaneya Swamy.
At 3.30 start to Dwaraka Tirumala from Maddi and reach to Sree Venkateswara Swamy temple at 4.30 p.m.
Have some snacks at 5.30 p.m. and relax and enjoy the nature up to an hour and start to Rajahmundry at 6.30 p.m.
You will be there at Rajahmundry by 8:30 p.m. (Sunday night)
